e-business in the automotive supply chain will be the subject of an important seminar for companies of all sizes from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) in October.
With a focus on cost/benefits and real issues told by real people, it promises to be useful. SupplyOn will provide an update on online trading exchanges, and the SMMT has lined up speakers from Avon Automotive, Denso, GKN Driveline, NSK Steering systems and Remploy Automotive.
Keynote speaker will be Tod Evans, chairman of Peugeot Citroen Automobiles UK, and president of the SMMT, while the event is chaired by Christopher Macgowan, chief executive.
The seminar will addresses critical issues for suppliers in building and maintaining modern trading relationships, as well as how to get the most from web-based tools and techniques.
The seminar, which is being held in association with Manufacturing Computer Solutions, will be at Warwick University, Coventry on Wednesday 20 October 2004. Cost is £99 plus VAT (£116.33) for members and £149 plus VAT (£175.08) for non-members.
