Awarding organisation EAL (Emta Awards Limited) has launched a series of apprenticeship packages for the engineering industry featuring existing qualifications developed by an in-house team of sector experts.
The new engineering apprenticeship packages cover the Semta engineering apprenticeship and advanced apprenticeship framework and the industrial applications apprenticeship framework. They contain a combination of occupation-specific NVQ and VRQs as well as Key Skills at Levels 1 and 2, depending on the framework requirements. The new packages will be updated to include EAL's QCF qualifications, Functional Skills and Essential Skills Wales, as and when they are accredited and confirmed for framework funding.
EAL managing director, Ann Watson said: "These new qualification packages offer employers a consistent and cost effective route for their apprentices to undertake training that will produce fully qualified industry-recognised engineers," said. "Our in house team of specialists have worked closely with the engineering industry to ensure that the qualifications thoroughly prepare the learners for the working world."
