The company’s real-time AI monitoring system improves precision, minimises waste, and significantly reduces the environmental impact of textile production.

AI Innovations Driving Water Efficiency in Textile Manufacturing

“Our AI-driven systems allow us to detect and correct textile defects before they lead to unnecessary reprocessing, reducing waste and optimising resource use,” said Sabri Ünlütürk, Vice Chairman of the Board of Sun Tekstil and Ekoten Tekstil.

“This technology strengthens both efficiency and sustainability in our manufacturing processes.”

The textile industry is one of the most water-intensive industries, with dyeing and finishing processes responsible for nearly 20% of global industrial water pollution.

By identifying defects earlier in production, Ekoten Tekstil’s AI technology reduces the need for re-dyeing and reprocessing, cutting down on water consumption at a crucial stage in textile production. With global droughts intensifying and affecting communities and industries alike, water conservation is a growing priority.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that droughts impact 55 million people worldwide each year, exacerbating water shortages across multiple sectors. By improving efficiency and reducing excess water use, Ekoten Tekstil contributes to broader sustainability efforts addressing these challenges.
