Print and packaging production manufacturer Elanders UK has selected Epicor's next-generation ERP software to replace five systems currently running its operations.
David Clark, IT director at Elanders, cites the system's integration features and "lifetime value" as key reasons for the selection. He explains that Epicor will deliver fully integrated workflow that incorporates the company's print and art systems, covering estimating, finance, production scheduling, CRM, forecasting, EDI and web ordering.
"The business has changed so much since we originally implemented our systems, and we need a system that will grow with us, and provide a full 360 degree view of our work," explains Clark.
"Epicor will allow us to do this, and with Epicor's Service Connect we believe that we can accommodate any changes, or new pieces of software needed in the future. It will bond our business processes together and remove all duplication," he adds.
Elanders reviewed more than 10 MIS and ERP systems, and beyond integration, Clark says the steering group was also impressed by the system's flexibility, automatic production scheduling and workflow tools.
"The lifetime value of Epicor is far beyond the other systems we assessed, with some possibly needing replacement in 10 years," comments Clark. "We can see Epicor giving value to our business over the next 25 years, if not longer."
