Evolution Time Critical, an emergency logistics specialist, says trading is brisk and revenues last year were 30% higher than any previous year.
The company has been providing emergency logistics services to global car makers and their suppliers for 10 years and now has customers in 40 countries.
"From the beginning, we sought to create a highly service-oriented business that would provide the automotive manufacturing industry with a robust and reliable emergency logistics service," explains Brad Brennan, Evolution's managing director. "We have responded quickly to the diverse challenges facing the industry and its global supply chains, allowing manufacturers to avoid the heavy costs associated with production delays."
During the last two years, Evolution has helped its customers overcome problems heightened by the recession, such as inventory reduction, transport capacity reduction, supplier relocation and longer supply chains, as well as responding during the severe winter weather and the volcanic ash cloud. The company says it offers "a cost-effective alternative to stocking additional inventory".
It has also helped customers in other sectors – including arranging for delivery of a critical electronic component which would otherwise have disruption trading operations of a major bank, and delivering specialist equipment to a marine salvage site in Taiwan to prevent a ship sinking.
