Thin client devices and software developer Netvoyager has launched its smallest thin client, breaking the £100 barrier and claiming power consumption of less than 10 Watts.
“Thin client technology has always been viewed as only applicable to large organisations, but now the Neterm LX1000 makes this technology accessible to the SME, education and SMB Markets,” says Jamil Aboulzelof, managing director.
“It delivers all the benefits of thin client technology and yet breaks the £100 barrier and consumes only 10W, making it the most energy efficient desktop on the market today for the performance and features it provides – credentials which are hard to beat,” he adds.
LX1000 is designed to let you run Windows and Unix/Linux applications hosted on local or remote servers, and connects to mainframes with embedded emulation.
It is powered by a Linux core operating system, providing Linux stability, security, customisation and performance. Claimed benefits include centralised management, reduced power consumption, increased desk space efficiency for space limited environments and one of the quickest Return on Investment in its class.
