Epic Data and Preactor deal promises MES/APS integration
Advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software specialist Preactor has announced a partnership agreement with MES (manufacturing execution system) firm Epic Data International.
"We can now select products from Preactor's range of software systems to assure our customers the best in planning and scheduling technology in the manufacturing sector," comments Rino Civitarese, vice president of Epic Data.
"Epic Data has deep experience in multiple industries, and combining IntegraMES with Preactor can deliver valuable insight into a company's production planning," adds Andy Willis, COO of Preactor North America.
The combination looks promising for manufacturers, which will now bed able to tap into systems and considerable experience in the related areas of MES and APS, particularly in industries such as aerospace and defence, automotive and heavy equipment.
