Epicor and Hitachi to collaborate on IT service desk
Midmarket manufacturing business software firm Epicor has struck a deal with Hitachi Data Systems to integrate Hitachi IT Operations Analszer and Epicor's IT Service Management software.
The move is significant in that ITSM is designed to help businesses quickly align their IT to changing business requirements. Linking to Operations Analyser should, they say, allow them to assess and respond more quickly to new opportunities.
"Our partnership with Hitachi Data Systems strengthens and expands our ITSM offering in the areas of IT service and IT operations management," explains James Norwood, senior vice president, worldwide product marketing for Epicor.
"[It] will empower the service desk to quickly identify and analyse issues in the IT environment … to deliver a cost-effective and scalable availability and performance monitoring solution," he adds.
