Epicor shines a light on cost savings for Valmont Stainton
Valmont Stainton, the UK's largest manufacturer of lighting columns, is reporting significant cost savings and cash flow improvements having implemented a Solarsoft document management system (DMS) from Epicor.
Alan Bell, purchasing and IT manager at Valmont Stainton, says that the DMS has saved thousands of pounds on postage and printed stationery, simply by generating PDFs of documents such as invoices and statements and automatically emailing them.
However , more importantly, he says, it has changed the way the company works.
"As we now email invoices, for example, they reach the customer much more quickly and therefore we receive payments sooner," explains Bell.
"Plus it also helps us to spot any errors quickly and rectify them immediately. Epicor has made a real difference to our business and we are saving a day or two a month in administration time, which is incredible."
