Factory and plant SCADA faster and further
FactoryLink 7.5, Tecnomatix’s latest upgrade to its acquired SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and HMI (human machine interface) suite deals with users’ – system integrators and plant and factory operators – requirements to build and roll-out their applications faster and react more quickly to operational knowledge.
Looking briefly at key points: new functionality brings the US FDA 21 CFR 11 electronic signature regulations and GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practices) initiatives under control; out-of-the-box reporting helps users lock onto trends quickly and capture process knowledge; and automatic e-mail alarms and alerts speeds event responses.
There are also waveform and sequencing tasks that emulate real-world I/O to speed up project commissioning. And, most valuable, it now offers single click deployment to client nodes on a LAN or VPN using a lightweight, automated install.
