UPM Rafsec, the part of the global UPM group that makes UHF RFID tags, is now live with new patented manufacturing technology for high volume tag production.
The move follows successful piloting at its new North American manufacturing site in Fletcher, North Carolina.
The Finnish company says it’s responding to the increasing demand for EPC RFID tags. It says it’s the culmination of eight years of R&D and production of RFID tags and inlays, and is now resulting in very high yields with both Class 1 generations (Gen1 and Gen2) EPC tags.
“By continuously improving the quality of our tags and our delivery capabilities, we are ready to ramp-up with our partners as the RFID market continues to grow,” says Samuli Strömberg, vice president of marketing at UPM Rafsec.
