Connectors manufacturer FCI says it has seen a 40% increase in uptake of its e-catalogue since going live with Sterling commerce multi-channel selling software.
Michel Safir, head of strategy for FCI, explains that the system has effectively extended its e-commerce capabilities to customers and distributors throughout Europe, Asia Pacific and the US – providing search and multi-language capabilities.
Enhanced e-catalogue capabilities, he says, enable FCI’s customers to find the best price, review products and source associated technical information, all from one location. He also notes that Sterling Commerce provides customised information through profile management for privileged customers with addtional services.
“Now our customers and prospects can quickly and easily find and research the right products on our website, which has enabled us to enhance the customer experience and increase customer satisfaction,” says Safir.
“Looking to the future, it is critical that FCI remains flexible and adaptable as the market evolves and our customers’ needs grow. Sterling Commerce allows us to build upon our long-term website strategy and provides us with a competitive differentiation for future growth.”
