The new partnership focuses on helping companies currently running their generators on diesel or fuel oil to secure a cleaner, greener energy supply, whilst also avoiding significant price rises from the red diesel tax subsidy changes in April 22.
“For a number of different industries, diesel-powered standby generators are about to become substantially more expensive to run due to subsidy changes,” says John Kinstrie, Head of Solutions at DTGen. “This means manufacturing businesses are now actively looking for a lower cost and more futureproof energy solution. Upgrading to cleaner liquid gas not only saves them significant costs and insulates against price increases, but it also reduces their carbon footprint – setting them on the right path towards a lower carbon future.
“That’s why we’ve teamed up with Flogas. Together we can make a positive impact on manufacturing businesses’ profits and their carbon reduction targets at the same time. Not only that, but switching to liquid gas will also reduce other harmful pollutants like nitrous oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) – helping to improve air quality too.”
Flogas and DTGen will be combining their expertise and working closely together to provide a seamless start-to-finish liquid gas solution. Customers will be able to select from DTGen’s market-leading portfolio of standby power systems, whilst also benefiting from a tailored liquid gas supply from Flogas. Their tanks will also be fitted with auto-ordering technology, which alerts the team when levels are running low and triggers a delivery, so they are always kept topped up.
“This is a proper turnkey solution,” says Rob McCord, General Manager – Bulk Commercial at Flogas. “Customers don’t have to worry about speaking to multiple suppliers, they can leave it all to us. We’re one expert team and we’ll manage the whole process from design and specification, through to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance and support.
“At Flogas we’re dedicated to providing the best energy solutions for customers and this means working with the best partners. DTGen is an industry leader in its field and is committed to building a more sustainable, resilient future, so there’s great synergy with both our businesses. By joining forces, we’re able to offer an unrivalled liquid gas power generation offering, and we’re really excited to be working with them to help businesses transition towards a more futureproof energy solution.
“The good news is, those who operate on liquid gas now, will automatically be one step further on the road to net zero emissions. Once it’s more readily available, the likes of Bio-LPG will take its place and when it does, it can be simply dropped into existing systems with no changes needed. This means liquid gas users are already fully set up to become carbon neutral when the time comes.”
