Materials handling equipment manufacturer Combilift has been named Ireland's top exporter to Germany by Enterprise Ireland and the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The award is Combilift's third accolade this year following its success at the FLTA awards in February for its RT and CB forklift models.
Combilift entered the German market in 1999, just a year after the company was established. Since then, its growing range of four-way trucks has notched up sales in excess of €100m to German companies – with growth of 22% in this market during 2012.
German blue chip clients include Liebherr, Thyssen Krupp, Weber Haus, Veka, Schüco and Hagebau.
Combilift is one of the largest employers in the Monaghan area with a workforce of 240, a quarter of which are new roles created in the past two years.
