South East manufacturers wanting to brush up on their environmental performance have the opportunity to take advantage of funded low carbon innovation training and on site advice aimed at improving environmental skills and efficiencies.
Olive Consulting has teamed up with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) South East to offer a package of fully funded support for small to medium sized businesses looking to save money and gain highly competitive environmental credentials.
MAS South East programme manager David Caddle (pictured) said: "It is important that the manufacturing community is equipped with the capabilities and skills to take advantage of the potential benefits as the world moves towards a low carbon future and MAS South East is ready to support those companies to take advantage of job creation and growth."
There are two packages of support being offered:
• Fully funded three days on and off site support including:
o Environmental review and action plan
o Review of environmental legal compliance
o Environmental Policy advice to support marketing activities
o Environmental Management System advice and benefits
o Accredited training courses (IEMA and CIWM) advice
• 50% funded intensive support...five days on and off site support including the identification and delivery of:
o Environmental risk management guidance, compliance check and cost saving opportunities
o Low Carbon Technologies and additional sustainable resources
o Progress towards an effective, certified, Environmental Management System
o Sustainable Procurement and Supply skills , supply chain and market development advice
o Green advertising and PR guidance—the do's and don'ts
