Automotive product manufacturer Brose has signed a new three-year deal with Gefco for the transport of seat frames from its Coventry facility to a customer site in Redditch.
Logistics business Gefco has worked with Brose since 2005 but clinched the new contract thanks to its ability to offer a flexible fleet arrangement. Brose's volumes are variable during the implementation phase, so Gefco is using its own fleet during the initial stages to save money for Brose, but will provide dedicated trucks in Brose livery once the volumes increase.
Wayne Holt, Brose's group leader of logistics, said: "We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Gefco through the introduction of this new flow. With this contract, we are looking to develop a successful long-term partnership with a logistics supplier, and we believe the flexibility of Gefco's offering will meet both our immediate and longer term needs – allowing us to run our business at optimum efficiency, particularly during the initial stages of the new venture."
