GlaxoSmithKline selects Armagard as approved supplier of PC enclosures

Pharmaceuticals giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has selected Wokingham-based manufacturer Armagard as its approved supplier of PC enclosures. GSK performed trials on Armagard’s stainless steel, IP66-rated, PC enclosure before making the decision in February this year. The enclosures are designed to withstand heavy washdown. And Nissan Motors is also benefiting from Armagard’s enclosure products. It needed a PC enclosure for all its touch-screen monitors so that debris from nearby grinding machines would not cause them damage. Armagard supplied the company with a customised enclosure: hinged acrylic windows with a magnetised seal around it to prevent dust or swarf getting trapped and damaging the monitor screens. Armagard has more than 1400 customers that use its protective enclosures for shopfloor PCs, in industries ranging from aerospace to chemicals, packaging, food and drink, automotive and metals.
