The findings, which come from a forthcoming survey undertaken by Manufacturing Management and business utility and sustainability consultancy Inenco, suggest an alarming lack of readiness among UK manufacturers when it comes to dealing with this key environmental target.
Given the UK Government’s commitment to all parts of the economy achieving Net Zero by 2050, the suggestion that nearly half of UK manufacturers may be without a clear action plan is highly concerning.
Jordan Rassas, Head of New Business at Inenco added; “It’s clear from the survey data that many UK manufacturers are facing many challenges in achieving true sustainability and we are pleased to be supporting a growing number of them to develop and implement their net zero transition plans.”
This finding is just one part of the The Net Zero Readiness Survey undertaken by Manufacturing Management and Inenco, the full results of which will be published in November this year.
