Hallite sealing ERP implementation with Exel

Hallite Seals, part of Wellington Holdings, is installing a 50-user Efacs enterprise management (ERP) system from Exel Computer Systems for its Hampton HQ. The system is expected to go live in May, and will replace the firm’s bespoke legacy system. Efacs was selected for Hallite by management consultancy MMG. Hallite will get an Internet-enabled front end system, with automated, exception- and event-based workflow, covering all areas of the business, including financials, sales order processing and manufacturing. The firm expects improvements in planning and manufacturing cost management as well as tighter inventory control and efficiencies in purchasing. Richard Pell, Hallite’s marketing director, also expects to drive the system on to better supply chain management based on Efacs’ Customer Information Centre. And with Efacs’ new flexible standard components technology, the firm should be as future-proof as it’s possible to be. Currently, training rooms are being set up to provide a workshop environment in which sample data, structures and procedures can be tested prior to intensive training before go-live.
