Harley-Davidson has revealed that it is standardising on SAP’s automotive industry ERP solution to get real-time visibility of its global business. Following replacement of its financial management applications at tis Milwaukee, US headquarters, the motorbike legend says it will then take steps to increase visibility and operational efficiency using industry-standard business process templates. Apart from a full ERP implementation, the roll-out will include components of SAP’s CRM (customer relationship management) and SCM (supply chain management) solutions. “Harley-Davidson is a brand recognised and respected world-wide,” says Bill McDermott, president and CEO, SAP Americas. “We are pleased the company has selected SAP software to help them manage and optimise their growth.”
