Awarded annually, the prize includes an engraved medal, certificate and a £5,000 prize, recognising an individual whose innovation contributes to achieving net zero carbon by 2050.
The award is open to UK-based individuals who are early career stage engineers and members of a recognised professional engineering institution.
To enter, applicants must demonstrate an innovative technology that has reached at least the prototype or proof-of-concept stage, with clear potential for commercial development. The work must have been carried out after the completion of a graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised UK university or during postgraduate studies (work completed for a BSc or MEng is not eligible).
The deadline for applications is 10 February 2025.
