Hiley Engineering secures Saudi supply deal
The Yorkshire-based fabrication firm Hiley Engineering announced that it has secured a $500,000-plus deal to design and supply a large scale bespoke conveyor system to Saudi Arabia for food production giant Kraft Foods.
The project, following in the footsteps of a recent Russian contract, boosts Hiley's export drive and is its first undertaking in Saudi Arabia.
Managing director Mark Hiley said the new work was exciting but all was running to agreed timescales and budgets, even though elements of the job had demanded innovative and inspired design work.
The Saudi system has been manufactured and assembled for the factory acceptance test, which was recently successfully completed. The conveyor system will now be shipped and on arrival will be installed and commissioned under Hiley's supervision.
