Dawlish, Devon-based bespoke hydraulic valves manufacturer Hydraulic Projects is due to go live with a new make-to-order ERP system by the end of this year.
The company, which primarily serves the industrial, mobile, agricultural and construction industries, started implementing its Infor Visual software (formerly Lilly Software prior to the acquisition) last month.
It’s replacing ageing bespoke legacy systems, one for controlling stock and the other for scheduling its machine shop.
Says Elaine Slater, Hydraulic Projects’ financial director: “We have quite a complex system of building products to customer orders, so we needed a reliable system that could complement a make-to-order manufacturing regime.
“We also required a system that could aid us in accurately planning and forecasting stock. In addition, we wanted to move to a Windows-based solution, where we could have a nest of Windows open at the same time.”
