Idhammar Systems launches OEE energy monitor

The energy monitor can be linked up with CT meters to identify the most energy hungry plant and water and energy consumption. The monitor connects with Idhammar's OEE system providing availability, performance and quality data and providing a signpost to help manufacturers eliminate energy waste, the company said. Breadmaker Hovis claimed a 7% cut in gas use worth £400,000 a year by using an OEE management System. Bob King, former manufacturing director at Hovis and now of Premier Foods said: ""In addition to savings in labour unit cost and product wastage, we have achieved significant savings in energy usage. Optimised OEE has a hugely beneficial impact on our energy-efficiency programme which supports our environmental objectives."
