Fast growing Swedish enterprise systems vendor IFS in the US has won a $1 million deal to provide Value Plastics with IFS Applications software and services, including its web portal and collaboration technology. The system is to be implemented at its Fort Collins, Colorado plastic tubing components manufacturing sites.
The firm intends to use IFS’ web-based components for everything from manufacturing management, to supply chain operations, financials, customer relationship management, maintenance, HR and engineering management. Specifically, Value Plastics says it will use IFS’ portal and collaboration software to streamline the flow of information.
“Our home grown business system had some gaps in its functionality and could not scale quickly enough to meet our needs,” says Michael Rainsberger, Value Plastics’ CEO. “We chose IFS Applications because we believe the product breadth will support whatever we desire to do in either front office or back office operations for years to come.
“In addition, the component architecture and step-by-step implementation give us the ability to scale upwards at the pace we choose. This is a long-term proposition for Value Plastics, and IFS has demonstrated an extreme willingness to provide solutions that should contribute to our continued profitability.”
