IFS steals SAP and Oracle ground in Germany

Swedish ERP software developer IFS is partnering with VAR Altro Consult, a subsidiary of the R. Stahl, to focus on IFS Applications for new customers instead of SAP and the JD Edwards suite now owned by Oracle. Altro and its affiliate SP Solution, one of the leading JD Edwards distributors in Germany, are offering hosting and outsourcing services. Says Thomas Vallbracht, Altro and SP managing director: “Many of our German clients operate globally. This results in clearly defined requirements that an ERP system has to meet. IFS addresses those, whether they concern financial accounting, manufacturing, or HR.”
