Ireland's largest factory nears completion

Work is nearing completion at a new factory for leading forklift manufacturer, Combilift.

The 46,000m2 plant, on a 40 hectare site, in Monaghan, Ireland, will double the company’s output in the coming years. It will also be the country’s largest single manufacturing plant under one roof.

The company’s new global headquarters and production facility will host a dedicated R&D building and adjoining administrational offices. It will be fully operational in spring 2018, although production of some models, including the Straddle Carrier, has already moved. The expansion will create around 200 new jobs, mainly for skilled technicians and design engineers.

Combilift have long been pioneers in the materials handling sector. They invented the world’s first i.c. engine-powered, all-wheel drive multidirectional forklift in 1998, and now exports products to over 75 countries worldwide.
