Jaguar Land Rover will increase its apprentice intake to 133 for 2012.
The annoucement comes on the cusp of National Apprenticeship Week, taking place in England from 6-10 February.
The figure marks an increase of 19 places on last year's total of 114.
JLR's Des Thurlby said JLR apprenticeships had more than doubled in the last four years. He went on: "JLR is committed to providing the highest quality practical and academic training to develop the future generation of engineering talent needed to drive our business forward."
The apprentices will be deployed at the company's plants in Solihull, Castle Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Gaydon and Coventry in the west Midlands and at Halewood on Merseyside.
A number of the apprentices will be based at the company's planned new engine plant in Staffordshire.
