The rental packages provide customers requiring contracts of 12 months or more with the scope to easily move up and down price bands, the company said.
Telematics data will also be monitored to ensure customers only pay for the hours a truck is in use as opposed to the number of hours it is on site. This will be made available through a Power Buy the Hour mobile application.
Neil Warren, director of used equipment, rental and workshop at Jungheinrich UK, said: “The new Jungheinrich Power Buy the Hour rental packages represent a completely new model for hiring fork lift trucks in the UK, and provide our customers with even more control and visibility in line with their individual requirements.
“As demand for a 24/7 service mounts for businesses across all industries, the accompanying Power Buy the Hour app will provide forklift truck operators with vehicle information around the clock. Data on vehicle usage will be available at their fingertips, along with information such as overspend, vehicle status and warning alerts.”
The new rental contracts for IC trucks are available on all models (1.6 to 3.0 ton capacity).
