Kendrion streamlines manufacturing with IFS Applications
German solenoids manufacturer Kendrion says it has selected approximately £2 million worth of IFS Applications to improve product configuration times, enhance quality, optimise inventory and standardise processes.
Günter Köster, program director at Kendrion, says IFS will replace outdated legacy solutions including a bunch of disparate business software.
The solution includes IFS Applications components for manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, distribution, sales and service, web services, quality management, document management and HR management.
Also included is the IFS Enterprise Explorer user- interface that is designed to increase usability and productivity.
"We selected IFS because the team understood the business needs and the demands of our industry. [They] were clearly the best, and the product is a perfect match for our requirements as a medium-sized company," states Köster.
He also emphasises that the decision was business-based, with the solution including not only software but also process knowhow and some customer-based innovations.
