The new 120,000 sq ft building, located on Torrington Avenue, will combine manufacturing, storage, and office space.

Growing Demand for Copper Products Across Sectors

Lawton Tubes’ copper products are used in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, construction, and sports. Robert Lawton, director of marketing and international sales and a fourth-generation member of the family business founded in 1918, shared the news with Steve Harcourt, president of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, during a recent visit.

Commitment to Sustainability and Community

Lawton said: “We are thrilled to announce our investment in a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as the foundation for our continued growth. With increasing global demand, recognition from the King’s Award for Enterprise, and strong sales growth across new markets, now is the ideal time to invest in our future."

Copper's Growing Role in Sustainable Manufacturing

“There is growing awareness of copper’s sustainability. It can be recycled endlessly and has natural antimicrobial properties that kill germs on contact. This has driven demand across all our sectors, reinforcing the need for expanded space and new technologies to support our next phase of growth.”

Future Outlook and Regional Impact of Lawton Tubes

“We also view this as an opportunity to deepen our engagement with the local community. Being a great business means giving back, and we’re excited to expand our role in supporting the region. We’re eager to work with the Chamber and other partners as we move forward”.
