Founded in 2006, Additive International is organised by the University of Nottingham and – for the first time – MA Business, the UK’s largest engineering and manufacturing publisher. It attracts an audience of over 250 delegates from across the world, who attend to hear how the additive manufacturing market has evolved and to understand the latest applications of the technology.
This year’s conference includes speakers from Deutsche Bahn, the University of Texas and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, who will be covering subjects as diverse as 3D printing with elastomers to applications in corrective orthodontics.
Supplementing the conference programme is an exhibition featuring leading suppliers to the additive manufacturing sector. Stand-holders will be on hand to demonstrate how their products and services can help deliver on the potential of this exciting and ground-breaking area of technology.
Additive manufacturing has experienced a ‘coming of age’ in recent years, with the global market expected to grow from $12.6bn in 2020 to over $37bn by 2026*. In addition, 3D printing was key during the pandemic in mass producing parts for ventilators, PPE and other life-saving devices.
“After an enforced hiatus due to the pandemic, it’s great to return to face-to-face events,” said Paul Fanning, publishing director of MA Business. “The additive manufacturing market has grown rapidly in the past three or four years, and technological advances mean it is being used for applications that were beyond our wildest imagination until recently. Additive International is a chance to hear about those applications from some of the world’s foremost experts in their field, as well as seeing first-hand some of the latest technologies from key suppliers to the sector.”
Additive International takes place from 13-14 July 2022 at Albert Hall, Nottingham. Speaker and exhibitor information is updated regularly on the event website: www.additiveinternational.com.
