Global brewer InBev says it expects to link disparate production facilities, strengthen process execution and improve management visibility when it implements HighJump Supply Chain Advantage software from 3M Supply Chain Solutions.
The system will go live first in the UK later this year, providing the company with consolidated, real-time information for its warehouse operations.
InBev makes the point that in the beer industry, there are constantly shifting supply chain requirements, as well as regulations at local, regional and national levels.
It adds that in order to increase customer satisfaction and achieve its ambition to become the best beer company in the world, the company says it sought the backing and support of a global brand that understands the needs of its customers, as well as the major supply chain issues and challenges.
“We wanted to work with a multi-national company that … knows first-hand the importance of standardising the underlying technologies to effectively support growth,” says Koen Goossens, logistics director Western Europe, InBev.
“With HighJump Software and 3M behind us, we’re confident we can keep our customers in the forefront through a solid approach to managing our diverse product lines and rapidly changing environment.”
