Lean automation goes live at Datamax
Harlow-based Barcode and RFID products manufacturer Datamax is already seeing reduced inventory and slicker supply chain operations following implementation of DemandStream, ERP developer SoftBrands’ lean automation system.
“We needed a system that would help us reduce inventory costs and buyer activities,” says Rich Newman, business automation manager at Datamax’s HQ in Florida.
“We went live with the system in August and [it] has streamlined our supply chain connectivity to our suppliers through the supplier portal, which is a dramatic improvement over fax machines.”
