Two former manufacturing business trouble shooters have launched a lean software package they say can revolutionise workplace productivity.
Bubblequest founders Greg Simpson and Glen Walmsley claim their FirstLine lean manufacturing package is the world’s first integrated, visual management system, and that it is already attracting interest from major manufacturers around the world.
“Companies everywhere know that lean manufacturing techniques can radically improve their bottom line performance,” says Simpson. “The problem is that many don’t know how to introduce and manage lean systems. Our FirstLine package solves that problem.”
In fact, FirstLine captures, cascades and displays management information and data – performance measures, skills audits, root cause analysis, value stream mapping and other improvement tools – using visual displays for managers.
“The front-line managers with whom we have piloted FirstLine immediately recognised the huge impact the system can have upon performance and efficiency of their businesses. It allows them to pinpoint where improvements are needed,” says Walmsley.
“The fact that the system fully integrates all the information, analysis and improvement measures they need makes lean manufacturing a practical reality,” he adds.
