Expansion of Production with New Equipment
Lesters has increased production speed and capacity by utilizing two TCY large-format casemakers at its 60,000 sq ft facility located on Mount Road.
The new equipment allows the company to meet growing demand across different industries.
New Hires Fuel Operational Growth of Lesters
In addition to equipment upgrades, Lesters has recruited eight new people across sales, design, and manufacturing departments. One of the recently hired employees, Edward Scobie, now serves as operations manager. He will be an important link between production and the general manager, focusing on driving productivity improvements and unlocking more capacity using real-time data.
Resilience and Confidence for the Future
Billy Hutchinson, Managing Director of Lesters, stated, “There were lots of challenges in 2024, many of them outside our control and driven by external pressures.
Despite the volatile outlook, we’ve continued to expand and are confident that we’ll hit £25 million by the end of the next financial year—a successful completion of our four-year growth plan.”
