The company has unveiled a pair of two-seat EVs, the hard-top Roadster and topless Speedster, that are less than one tonne.
The company says that, as with the E-type and Elise, Longbow models focus on style, on-road performance, and low kerb weight.
Focus on Style, Performance, and Lightweight Design
The company says the car is the first-ever British electric sports car manufacturer and plans to begin building the vehicles shortly, with the first two EVs expected to arrive in 2026.
Longbow was founded in 2023 by Daniel Davey, Jenny Keisu, and Mark Tapscott – who are all industry experts.
A Singular Philosophy: Lightness and Engagement
In a statement, the company said: “Development of the Longbow Speedster and Roadster has pursued a singular philosophy: simplify, focus on beauty and engagement, then relentlessly add lightness, until all that remains is sheer automotive intoxication. Antithetical to conventional notions of what a battery electric vehicle (BEV) can be, Speedster and Roadster are striking, light, nimble, balanced, and engineered for an unparalleled driving experience.”
