Major contract wins have helped K3 AX, part of the K3 Business Technology Group, to post impressive first half results, up 12% on the previous six months.

Despite what it describes as difficult trading conditions, K3 AX, which is ranked among the top 60 Microsoft Gold partners and supplies ERP solutions based on Dynamics AX, made sales of £1.2m for the six months to December 2010 – and is reporting deals worth in excess of £2m in the pipeline. Highlights include: a contract worth £207,000 with food firm New Ivory to supply and implement AX ERP; another valued at £203,000 for Knight Strip Metals for a system also based on AX; and a £50,000 deal to replace an existing customer's BEC warehouse management solution. Paul Fryer, sales director of K3 AX, says the firm has sought to differentiate itself from others in the Dynamics AX community by providing a range of value added services that help clients gain more benefits from their IT solutions. "The flexibility of the Dynamics AX system is perfectly suited to the changing demands of the steel industry and will change the way the industry uses technology," comments Fryer.
