The company, which employs nearly 150 people at its factory in Ollerton near Newark, is expecting to seal the deal on half a dozen projects, including a new hospital, several large-scale housing developments and the next phase of work on an iconic London landmark.
The new projects should be completed without the company having to recruit significant numbers of new staff.
A1 Flue Systems’ director, TJ Duncan-Moir, said that the company, which is the UK market leader in the design, manufacture and installation of industrial chimney and exhaust systems, will be able to take on the new contracts in their stride.
“We are delighted that so many new contracts will be commencing in such a short space of time – especially when you consider all the repercussions of what happened in the construction industry following the recent liquidation of Carillion,” she said. “However, we are a robust business and have strong relationships with the main contractors we’ll be working with.”
The contract in London, which is under Non-Disclosure Agreement, is the latest of A1’s projects in the capital, which has also included work on The Shard, The Gherkin, The Cheesegrater and The Walkie Talkie.
