Nine winners showcasing innovation and a commitment to add value to customers were recognised across categories including Team of the year, Skills & Community Champion, Manufacturing Leader, Health & Safety Champion, Employee-led Innovation, Rising Star, Energy & Environment Champion, and the Unsung Hero Awards.
Top talent recognised at the Manufacturing Champions Awards included Rising Star Award winner Georgie Molloy, YASA Ltd, who was recognised for both her engineering skill and for her work encouraging more women into manufacturing. She was also the ‘Winner of Winners’, decided by us here on the Manufacturing Management team.
“This year saw the highest quality of entries in the five-year history of the Manufacturing Champions Awards,” said Chris Beck, editor of Manufacturing Management magazine. “Our winners – and those who made the shortlist – show the depth of talent present in the UK’s manufacturing sector. With entries from all parts of the industry and all four corners of the country, the awards are proof that manufacturing is something for all of the UK to be proud of.”
The Manufacturing Champions Awards, hosted by Chris, gathered hundreds of manufacturers to celebrate those who make UK production lines sing as well as showcasing the exciting careers on offer in the sector.
