Manufacturing Champions was launched to celebrate the people who put the great into British manufacturing and will compete for the Event of the Year (Business Media) prize at the PPA finals on 9 July.
The PPAs attracts hundreds of entries from the UK's top publishing houses with finalists including FourFour Two, The Economist and Time Out.
The nomination was a credit to the manufacturing industry, which got behind the Champions ethos of celebrating unsung factory heroes said Max Gosney, WM's group editor.
He said: "We're over the moon to see Champions make the finals. Twelve months ago the awards were just a pipe dream. Thanks to all our readers who got on board with an initiative and recognised the need to champion the underappreciated people whose pride and professionalism makes British manufacturing a world beater."
Entries for this year's Manufacturing Champions Awards will open in June with categories including Manufacturing Team Award, Safe Workplace Champion Award and Rising Star Award. Click here to find out more about entry.
