Bath-based management consultancy Suiko has been crowned consultancy practice of the year at the CMI Management and Leadership Awards, which recognise excellence among UK managers and management teams.
Suiko – which has worked with manufacturers including Nestle, Premier Foods and Boots Contract Manufacturing – collected the award at a ceremony in London last week. It topped a shortlist of 50 finalists from all sectors and regions.
The judges recognised Suiko's offer of sustainable, measureable solutions and commitment to professional standards, as well as the organisation's ability to engage its employees and offer strong customer service.
Andy Marsh, Suiko's managing director, said: "We are really delighted and proud to be recognised through this award and thank all our friends and clients who have supported us over many years to build this great practice."
Ann Francke, CEO of the Chartered Management Institute, said: "It has been an inspiration to meet these management trail-blazers… The quality of management in the UK needs to be raised to compete with the rest of the world, especially as the economic slump continues and when business and consumer confidence is worryingly low. Strong leadership is what matters for organisations and at CMI we feel it is important to celebrate those achieving great results."
