Marchwood Power goes for preconfigured Lawson EAM software package

Marchwood Power, which is currently constructing a £400 million efficient fossil fuel-driven power plant due to go live in 2009, is to implement Lawson’s pre-configured QuickStep EAM (enterprise asset management).

The organisation says it will use the system – which includes Lawson’s maintenance management, finance management, procurement, supply chain planning and supply chain execution modules – will help support its 24/7 operation and maintenance strategy. “Our industry operates on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year, involving complex and expensive assets – so any downtime or outage creates an expensive situation which needs to be minimized through a good maintenance strategy,” says Tony McShane, plant manager for Marchwood Power. “Lawson QuickStep EAM provides us with a single integrated solution that will help underpin this strategy to ensure operational efficiency.”
