Maxon motor, an international precision drives and systems manufacturer serving the aviation, construction tools, medical and laboratory markets, is buying eur 1.5 million worth of IFS Applications 2002 for 500 users to handle its operations from design to after sales services.
“We chose IFS Applications based on its strong functionality for our advanced configure-to-order manufacturing combined with a flexible and modern technology,” says Guido Zumstein, IT manager.
The firm is buying software components for engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, financials, business performance, CRM (customer relationship management) and after sales. It will be implemented first in Maxon’s production sites in Switzerland, Germany and Hungary.
Roll out in phase II will be to the firm’s sales and services offices throughout Europe, North America and Asia, with connection to a central server at Maxon’s HQ in Sachseln, Switzerland.
