Medical firm breathes easy with ERP

“What we really needed was an economical enterprise solution geared toward our industry that could be implemented very quickly. QAD offered one of the most appealing solutions,” says Nancy Alyea, cfo at UK-based medical device manufacturer, Gyrus ENT. The company, which specialises in surgical implants and ear, nose and throat devices (formed after divesting from former parent organisation Smith & Nephew) selected enterprise software vendor QAD’s complete web-enabled ERP system, Mfg/Pro, with EDI e-commerce. “Due to our recent divestiture, we required a new enterprise solution,” adds Alyea. “QAD’s focus on the medical device industry was a very big part of our decision.”
