MESA International (the manufacturing enterprise solutions association) has announced an expanded programme and agenda for its European 'Plant-to-Enterprise' conference, from October 27 to 28, to be held at Jaarbeurs, Utrecht in the Netherlands.
The organisation says that this year's theme is 'Survive to Thrive', and will focus on how manufacturing companies need to think, act and engage to match today's global economic realities.
Jan Snoeij of Logica, chair of MESA in EMEA, says that delegates can expect first hand end-user experience, shared best practices, expert information and educational opportunities.
"Especially now, many manufacturers and producers are looking for best practices and tools to help them be ready for the recovery of the economy, whenever that may come. This conference is an ideal place to learn from your peers," says Snoeij.
The conference agenda includes presenters from Sasol, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, SC Johnson Europlant, Eli Lilly and Royal DSM. Snoeij says they will be sharing their experience in applying MESs and explaining how their IT is now used for business benefit.
It also includes a guest appearance from WBF (the organisation for production technology), which says it will be adding manufacturer/producer experience in process industries and information on ISA-88, B2MML standards and education on MES standards, selection and implementation.
