MESA publishes manufacturing intelligence and MOM white paper
A white paper that details the uses of ISA-95 in monitoring and maintaining process plant goals, across financial and operational metrics, has been published by MESA.
MESA International is a global community of manufacturers, producers, industry leaders and solution providers who are focused on improving operations management through the application of technology and best practices.
Its new paper gives the example of applying an ISA-95 integration process to business intelligence and manufacturing operations management (MOM) for a packaging line.
The example explains the challenges of disparate data sources across a business and its plants in terms of business intelligence (BI), manufacturing intelligence (MI) and their integration with manufacturing operations management (MOM) systems.
This paper was produced by the MESA/ISA-95 Best Practices Working Group as part of an international peer review process involving subject matter reviewers.
