With manufacturers tightening their belts and needing to streamline operations, reseller K3 AX says the latest Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 will be welcomed with open arms.
Citing its promise of improved efficiency and enhanced performance, William Ball, product director at K3 AX, adds that SP1 will offer reassurance of AX 2009's maturity, while removing customer anxiety over adopting 'new' software.
Dynamics AX 2009 provides 100 new features that make it easier to access business critical information. It also SP1 also includes support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and, with the look and feel of Office 2007, has the advantage of ease of use.
Ball points to, its Role Centre, which can also be configured to suit business functions – allowing employees to receive information specifically relevant to their jobs more efficiently. This, he says, will cut wasted activity and enable staff to make better and more productive use of their time.
Says Ball: "New Dynamics AX users are amazed at how the software streamlines their workload, and the Role Centre is key to this. For example, stock controllers can set up their Role Centre to receive information about stock levels, without searching lengthy inventory lists. Those stock items that are at a critical level will be identified immediately.
"Financial controllers can also easily configure the system so that they can concentrate on late payers, without having to review all the customer records. This will identify bad debtors and help improve cashflow due to late payment."
