Less than a year since the release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, Microsoft has released new capabilities and enhancements to the product's so-called RoleTailored user experience.
Crispin Read, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics ERP, says it's all about increasing business productivity – honouring Microsoft's promise to enable 'the Dynamic Business', which includes offering "flexible business applications that remain relevant as business needs evolve".
Dynamics NAV's new visualisation capabilities allow partners to create custom controls using Microsoft technologies like Silverlight, while additional personalisation, such as improved data entering and quick navigation, can result in time savings across organisations, according to the company.
Read adds that customers also benefit from having direct access from within the 'Role Centre' to latest product information and user forums, using a feature dubbed Connect.
"The new capabilities are a result of close collaboration with our customers and partners. They build on the core values of simplicity and productivity that are the hallmarks of Microsoft Dynamics NAV," he says.
