Swedish vehicle components manufacturer Haldex, best known for its braking and hydraulic systems in the global commercial sector, believes that it’s cut the cost of implementing an Axapta ERP system by 25%. The company used a wizard-based configuration and system setup tool suite from En’tegrate, a US-based Microsoft ISV partner, since acquired by Microsoft. “The ERP Complete technology is unlike anything I have ever seen’” says Donovan Dean, IT director at Haldex. “[It] guides you through each implementation step. It has allowed us to cut our implementation budget by 25%.” ERP Complete comprises four major modules that provide automated support for program management, software configuration, communication management and other resources for Axapta. Microsoft says it also reduces total cost of ownership for Microsoft Axapta in manufacturing implementations. Independent researcher Nucleus Research reckons that 75% of Microsoft Axapta users achieved a positive ROI from their deployments, with an average payback period of 23 months. With the new tool, Microsoft expects to improve further on that.
